Denver Paramedic Division EMTs are cross-trained to work in a variety of capacities. The majority of the Denver Paramedic Division’s EMTs are assigned to Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances responding to 911 calls. EMTs also work aboard Denver Health’s Critical Care Transport (CCT) ambulance and staff the Emergency Service Patrol (ESP) cars.

The variety of duty assignments, emphasis on 911 and emergency calls, and access to premier educational offerings provide a unique and highly desirable environment for our EMTs.

Our EMTs work four 10-hour shifts per week and enjoy a generous compensation package that includes: health, dental, and life insurance; paid vacations and holidays; tuition reimbursement; retirement compensation; and more.
